Erin's Reviews:

A Song for Cecilia by Jo Fredell Higgins
Not captivating. Local author used too many references to Peoria history that drag on and do not add to the story, but rather detract from it.

An Unnecessary Woman by Rabih Alameddine
Thoroughly enjoyed this novel. The main characters devotion to literature & translation is inspiring.

Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline
A quick read. Was let down by author’s use of too-obvious literary clich├ęs (ugly characters = evil; Molly as a rude goth girl, etc). Novel should be classified as Y.A.

Elevating Child Care by Janet Lansbury
A great resource for parents. A reminder that a child is a whole person.

Kristina's Reviews:

Come Home by Lisa Scottoline
I enjoyed the characters and plot very much. I didn’t really like all the political/legal jargon towards the end. Much was not explained.

Not My Daughter by Barbara Delinsky
I loved this book! It was personal and up to date. I loved the plot and the way it was written.

The Summer Kitchen by Lisa Wingate (Blue Sky Hills bk #2)
Wonderful! Well written and I loved how she kept coming back to “there’s always someone who’s life is harder.”

Summer Sisters by Judy Blume
Great book, I used to read her books as a young girl and I think they just got better as I got older. Great plot!

I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai
Beautifully written. Amazing, strong girl and the culture is just so different to learn about. I love this book!

Half My Size: How I Lost 150lbs by Caroline Jhingory
Her story is stunning but I strongly disagree with her opinions about cutting out large food groups forever.

Jenny's Reviews:

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (Hunger Games bk #1)
It was good and definitely full of action. Disturbing, however that a society would operate in this way.

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (Hunger Games bk #2)
Very good book – Can’t wait to see how it all ends!

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins (Hunger Games bk #3)
SPOILER Definitely a page turner! So glad that Peeta and Katniss got together. (Highlight to read)

I laughed so hard! Wonderful!

Divergent by VeronicaRoth (Divergent Trilogy bk #1)
I liked it a lot. I see similarities to the Hunger Games. I love to see a female heroine.

Insurgent by Veronica Roth (Divergent Trilogy bk #2)
Action packed! Could not put it down!

Ellen's Reviews:

Billionaire Blend (Coffeehouse #13) by Cleo Coyle
A fun easy summer book. I would read another in this series.

Gemini by Carol Cassella
Fairly predictable. Like-able characters. Wanted to know what happened to them after the book ended.

Footprints in the Sand (Piper Donovan #3) by Mary Jane Clark
Didn’t want to take a break while reading. I wanted to see “who done it!”

Killer (Alex Delaware #29) by Jonathan Kellerman
Another good Alex Delaware adventure. Surprising twist at the end.

Concealed in Death (In Death #38) by J.D. Robb
One of my favorite authors. I love her characters and they never disappoint. Although she has written a lot of books they still hold your interest to the last page.

Dust (Kay Scarpetta # 21) by Patricia Cornwell
Too much rambling on by the main character about feelings and analyzing everyone’s thoughts. Kept reading just to finish it.
