Erin's Reviews:

A Song for Cecilia by Jo Fredell Higgins
Not captivating. Local author used too many references to Peoria history that drag on and do not add to the story, but rather detract from it.

An Unnecessary Woman by Rabih Alameddine
Thoroughly enjoyed this novel. The main characters devotion to literature & translation is inspiring.

Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline
A quick read. Was let down by author’s use of too-obvious literary clichés (ugly characters = evil; Molly as a rude goth girl, etc). Novel should be classified as Y.A.

Elevating Child Care by Janet Lansbury
A great resource for parents. A reminder that a child is a whole person.
